Grade 6

Prince Edward Island

After school

Hopping off the school bus, heading inside,
My dog barks for me to arrive.
Heading in to the kitchen to grab a snack,
As my dog follows me behind my back.
I go to the table as I start eating,
I look outside as I see the leafs leaving,
I leave the room heading upstairs,
As I see my cat sleeping like a hybernating bear.
Going to the garage, there’s so many sticks,
As I can’t leave without sniping a disc.
Going outside to play with my friends,
On my street, the fun never ends.
I know not ever child has a childhood like mine,
So I wrote this poem and i’m glad it rhymes.
