Grade 5

Many people think of a home as somewhere that you can live in or someplace you can do all your necessary needs but in reality, a home can mean much, much more.

To me, a true home means somewhere where you can feel free to be yourself at any moment or any time.

A true home unites everybody together so they can comfort each other and share their thoughts and feelings.

A true home creates special unique memories between family members and loved ones.

And a true home makes me feel safe and secure because I know I am surrounded by the people who love me the most.

Thus, it doesn’t matter how big or expensive my home is because I know that it only matters of what we together as a family make of it. And so, I am fortunate because I really do have a true home and I couldn’t imagine living without it.

“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
