What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me A house is a building made with bricks and cement. But a home on the other hand makes me feel loved,trusted,relieved,and also makes me feel joy and is made with love and enormous dreams. You make memories in your home. Your home doesn't have to be a house, it can be an apartment too. In my home I feel deep joy. I feel joy from my family, and my other relatives from Pugwash,Nova Scotia when they come to visit for the day. In my home we feel like joy is the heart of the family. It keeps us moving and running smoothly. I also feel joy in my home when I smell the wonderful, warm scent of my Nan’s apple pie that tastes like heaven. Home is a place where I always feel loved. When I feel down, or am just having a bad day, my family makes me feel loved. Home feels like the sun from all the loveness almost everyday. I also love my family. They just make me feel…. well…..loved. Every home feels love differently, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way, all the time and maybe some days not at all and that is okay because every home works differently. I feel very relieved in my home. When I get home from a long day at school, I just feel relieved to go talk to my family,go do my homework and settle down for a good long read of my favorite book. I feel relieved to eat dinner with my family. I also feel relieved to go talk with my sister and play Mario Kart, and sometimes watch our favorite movies together. My home makes me feel trusted. I can share all the things that were the weight on my shoulders that day. I can share all the things like my activities that I do,my secrets, basically all of my thoughts without being judged by my family members. Trust is like the warm fuzzy blanket that wraps around me everyday when I get home. It makes me feel like I can trust my family. A house is made with bricks and cement but home on the other hand is made with love and dreams and makes me feel joy,love,relief and trust. When I have a bad day, or I’m just down, my family makes me feel all of those feelings. That is what home means to me.
