What does home mean to me?
Home is a place where you belong.
I also feel included and loved here.
Sometimes, we play games that get us along together.
And sometimes, we celebrate the things we do here.
My mother is loving and kind as a star.
My father is nice and grateful as another blue star.
I look at my old photos and cried,
“I want to go there again!”
So I tell my mom and say,
“Those photos give me good memories! Look at that water crane!”
As I walk to the table.
I smell the scents of north indian cuisine.
Once I ate the delightful food, I noticed a hint of basil.
I told my mom that the food was so pristine.
The house is warm, I feel safe.
My mom and my dad chafe my body to stay warm.
When I'm tired, I feel kindhearted.
Now I have some time to feel openhearted.
Home is a shelter where you have nothing to hide from,
Once again, I hear my dreams when I play with my toys.
I hear my sister typing on her computer.
“Come! Come!” exclaimed my sister. “I’m coding!”
Home is a place where you can be nice,
And you don’t have to hide your lies.
