Home

Home is a place with family and friends and time to play with your loved ones. Home is Newfoundland and Labrador, an island surrounded by rough, jagged cliffs. The people from home are friendly and kind, and I am glad to be a part of this place, it’s what makes me, ‘me’. Home is soccer, which is my favorite sport. Running on the green grass covered pitch, hearing the fan cheering loud and proud, being a port of a team. That is what home is to me. Home is walking in the door and the smell of my favorite meal cooking in the oven. Where I sit with my family around our kitchen table and talk about our day. Home is a place where it snows a lot in the winter but it is hot in the summer. Newfoundland is unique because we can have four seasons in one day. Home is my friends. We laugh and play together. Mini sticks, hide and seek, tag, whatever we decide, it is always a good time when we are together. This is home to me!
