Home means my mom is always there when I need her and making memories with her that I’ll carry with me forever, her soft voice always comforts me. Like a whisper in the wind quieter than everything around it. How my dad tries to make me laugh when I’m in a bad mood, how he makes the most delicious home cooked meals. Whenever I get home from dancing, the air is filled with the aromas of his cooking. My sister how she makes everyone's day better without even trying her just being there makes me happy. She makes jokes that don’t make sense that make everyone laugh. My grammy who watches mystery shows with me always asks how my day went. We eat ice cream together on the couch. I ask how her day was. My dogs Ruby, Chloe and George play outside like there's no tomorrow. They protect me, make me feel safe. Just being in my home makes me feel safe. Like I’m floating on a cloud without a care in the world because I know they will keep me safe no matter what. My Home is a place where my family helps me through my ups and downs, the good and the bad no matter what. A home isn't based on size. A home is where I grow, where I’m loved and cherished like no one has been before. No matter how big my house is it could never compare to the size of my home.
