Meaning of Home

Home is not just a house. It is a place where I feel safe, a place where I can be myself and have a good time. I can be with my family when I have a bad day at school. My mom cooks me the best food. Her food makes me feel so good. All the memories I have with my family and my friends are all of us laughing. One memory I especially can never forget is when I had to leave my country when the war started. It felt like all my great memories were gone. I still remember when I had to leave my country to come to Canada and start from zero. All the way over here. I am in a good school learning with all my friends. My family's holidays are so fun because we all go to different countries and have tons of fun. Home is a place where I can feel happy or sad. I will always have this one memory; imagine this: you come home from school, and you go to the kitchen to get some snacks. You start to watch the soccer game on T.V. with your family. I would always be the one to scream when my team scores a goal. My home will always be meaningful to me. I will always love when it is Ramadan because my home turns beautiful with all the decorations. It makes it sooo wonderful and I will help my mom like always. Sometimes, I put up way too many decorations! That’s the thing that makes Ramadan special in my home. When Ramadan is over, I feel sorrowful because Eid is an enjoyable celebration in my home.
