What it Means to be Home
Home is the place where you belong. Home is the place where nothing feels wrong. Life feels okay in a real home. Home is a place you can really roam. Home is nice, like cookies and hot chocolate. Home is something that isn’t just approximate. You really feel there, like you're in your own place. Home is an area that can’t be defaced. You have a home, not quite like a house. A condo, apartment, or a hole for a mouse. A field for a goat, or a castle with a moat.
You can’t go wrong in a real home, just go create your own biome! People make houses, but only you can make a home. You make cozy corners and places to be alone. I love my home, just down the street. My home is special, at least to me.
Home, home, you are where my mom makes delicious meals. Home, home, you’re where I watch highlight reels. Home, home, you keep me warm. Home, home, safe from the swarm. People talk, but you just listen. Home, home, watch you glisten.
My home is amazing, a fortitude of its own. My friends are close by, just only in their homes. A house is a shelter, but a home is much more. Way more than just a structure with a door. It holds my belongings, and all of my comforts. It has my clothes, as well as all my T-shirts.
My home means a lot, more than a cot, more than a spot, more than a shot, and more than any thought about my HOME.
