Home Is A Safe Place

Home is a safe place for me.My house is not just a place with walls and furniture. It's a place where it can be my funny and crazy self. Home is not just decorations, it's a place where everyone should feel comfortable and safe, but that's not how it always is. Home is where you can hang out with your friends, spend time with your family, celebrate holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, and even have your birthday party at your house. Even though my family and I always fight with each other, those fights always end in apologies and laughter. Once a week my family and I go on night drives. While we're out I always see homeless people in the streets trying to find the comfiest bench to sleep on. When that happens, I ask my parents to stop the car so I can go and give them money. During these moments, I realize how privileged I am to have a roof over my head., food to eat and family and friends that are there for me and that care about me. I hope that this contest helps many people live where they feel safe and comfortable. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for making this contest to help build houses for people that don't have one.
