This Is Home
Home is a shelter.
A place where I feel safe.
Where I’m loved.
Where I belong.
The outside is just a shell, holding the inside together. But the inside is
laughter,
love,
memories.
Home is family playing games like
Scrabble,
Dutch Blitz,
Snakes and ladders.
It’s holding hands around the dinner table saying grace at Thanksgiving.
In my home, there are pictures down the hallways, telling a story of what was and is.
Road trips,
friends,
vacations.
Home is not four walls and a roof, it's
my
family
loving
me
and
me
loving
them
back.
Home is memories:
My little brother’s step,
Opening presents Christmas morning,
Sleepovers with friends.
Home is my grandparent’s house next door, playing with my cousins.
Home used to be Nairobi, Kenya for a year.
Rosslyn academy, learning about God’s love
And
Truth for
Everyone.
Home is a quiet upstairs room with warm

Where I’m loved.
Where I belong.
