Home is Your Habitat
Home is a place in your heart,
A house is a structure with walls of wood and stones. A home is a place where you will always belong, a house is somewhere you do not live for long. A home is a place you will always belong even if you are gone. A house is a place, a big object. A home, you cannot see, a place in your heart. A home is your childhood, a place where you belong.
The only thing that truly matters in a house is the people inside. A house is just walls, a door and a roof, a home is your habitat, a place with love and joy a place where emotions spread like fire in a woodland full of trees ,suddenly you feel alone, scared, into a concrete jungle with winding roads up hills and back down, it doesn’t feel like home, you feel uncomfortable you want to escape.
With your mom’s home cooked meals with a wonderful aroma filling the air at home, your habitat. At a house, it’s not the same, it’s loneliness. Microwaved meals as you get packed to move, you think your leaving your home, but just your house. As you start to see more people pile up on the streets homeless, you quietly say are they homeless or houseless.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for helping people that don’t have houses and making Ontario a better place.
