Home - a Reflection of Who We Are

Home is more than just a physical space, it's where I feel most myself. It’s a place where I can relax, let go of the world outside, and just be alive and live my own life. It holds comfort, memories, and the people who make me feel safe and cared for. The little details, like how I arrange things in my room or the familiar sights in my home, give me a sense of belonging that I can’t find anywhere else in the world. It’s also a space where I’ve grown. There’s history here… moments of happiness, challenges, and everything in between that make it uniquely mine. It’s not always perfect, but that’s part of what makes it real. The imperfections are part of the story, a reminder of how things have changed and where I’ve been. For me, home isn’t just about walls or a roof. It’s about the feelings tied to it, the sense of comfort, safety, and identity it gives me. It’s a place where I’m free to be myself, surrounded by the things and people that matter most. What brings me easement is the memories in my household in a china cabinet in the kitchen where we eat our food and have our giggles. There is a glass box… It’s filled with pieces of paper. They have all of our funniest moments like the time I was on a walk with my sister (when I was about three or four.) I was thinking we were looking for crocodiles at the time so I said, “ Liv we are on an adventure looking for crocodiles… NAP NAP.” While I said *nap nap* I was making pincers with my fingers.
