Home is Comfort
The home I know is a place of love. Everyday when I come home I am greeted with the smell of homemade spaghetti and the candle in the living room casting flickering shadows around the room. I enjoy delicious cookies and sit down on the comfortable couch to read a book. I hear my dog's paws clicking as she walks up to me, the hardwood floor creaking with every step. Afterwards I lie under a warm, fleece blanket, and hug my favorite stuffed animal as I start to doze. Relaxation and happiness wash over me as my father wakes me up from my nap and the outdoors call to me. I immediately go into the yard and play hockey for half an hour. I sit down to dinner of spaghetti and meatballs as conversation starts. After dinner and dessert, I head up to my room and become immersed into the world of a book. I hear halfway through it my father telling me to go have a hot shower and get ready for bed. Reluctantly, I head to the shower and clean up then go brush my teeth. I hop into bed, continue reading my book, and then put on my eye mask. My mother comes to say goodnight to me and I go to bed. As the night flies by I dream of castles and exciting battles. The next morning I think about what home means to me. To me home means comfort and love, warmth and laughter and most importantly home must be homey.I got up and immediately decided to start building Lego first thing in the morning. That is an insight into what I hope home would be for everyone around the world.
