A House is Not a Home
House is not a home if you're in someone else's home it normally smells different, but how does it smell? Is it close to your home’s smell? In my home it doesn't really smell like anything but when I walk into my house and my mom has made cookies or dinner it smells really comforting. For me in my home, something that makes me sad, leaving is my pets. I have two cats, a dog, a fish and a snail but even though it’s sad to leave them it gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day. When I'm at my grandma and grandpa’s house it feels like home to me and so does my normal home here in Sarnia. I normally go to my grandma's house in the summer, winter and on March break, and we do things like play in the snow on March break, camp in the summer and make cookies in the winter. People that have a small house normally are embarrassed, but it does not matter if your house is big or small, all that matters is that it's filled with love. I go to dance and when I'm at dance it feels like home to me as well as a real home because I've been there for so long. Home doesn't have to be a building, it can be a tent, a fort made out of blankets, an igloo, even an office. It does not matter how big the size, it matters the love inside. Memories that are made in a house will make a home, and you will remember them forever. A memory that I have is when I was little my brother had a lightning McQueen toy car, and we would ride it around our house and hit walls and furniture. Those memories are what houses need to become a home.
