I Know This Place

I know my home. It is the place where I eat, sleep, live, play and do so much more. I come home from school and I listen to the stove sizzling like a fire. I can observe that my mom is working hard by cooking our dinner. As I head upstairs to change, I notice that the sky is clear and my dad is arriving home from work. As I finish changing my clothes, I rush down the stairs to greet my dad. As we finish, I plan to get work on my daily homework. I snuggle up with my blanket and get started. I know this place. I feel warm, cozy and engrossed in my blanket. I feel the warm fleece keeping me cozy like a fireplace. Also, I can see the sun setting down. It looks like an animal, crawling back into its den. I can sense that my brother is working on a load of work. Therefore, I bug him jokingly, knowing he will get annoyed. I head downstairs looking for something to munch on. I see that there are my favorite dried fruits candies. I notice no people are looking so I sneak a couple in. My parents start to head down the stairs. I quickly walk away hoping they would not guess what I have been up to. Next I go upstairs ready to cuddle up next to my plushies. As I feel the softness of my plushies. As the end of the day arrives I lay down in my bed thinking where I will be in the future. The soft noises put me to sleep and I doze off. I wake up to the sound of laughter. I joined my family to laugh. I slept well after that.
