The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is so much more than just a house with four walls and a roof. It is somewhere I can feel joy or relaxation, not sadness or upset. When I think of home I think of my mom and brother and cannot forget my baby sister. Sometimes I get annoyed with my family, but later I think some people do not even have families, so I should be grateful for my own. Over all the years seeing my family grow I noticed something. How lucky am l? I have a great loving mom and two incredible siblings. When I was younger, I never really cared to notice how hard my mom worked for me but now, I realize. I would never ask for another mom if it was not her, never in a lifetime, and do not get me started on her cooking. Home is so cozy and warm, so peaceful and quiet, not loud, or dirty. I love it when I get home from a long day at school and I can smell my mom's cooking, the sound of her humming, and the way my baby sister walks in the house waiting for me to get home, it just warms my heart so much. If I am being honest, sometimes, I feel overwhelmed or sad at home, but it is good to feel those feelings sometimes and you know why? Because how do you really know if you are happy at home if you have not been sad at home? This is what home really means to me.
