What Home Means To Me

A house is a building, somewhere you live. Home is a feeling, where you feel belongingness. Not everyone has a house, but everyone longs for a home. A house could be big, or small, while a home radiates from within, from head to toe. What home means to me is a place where friends and family gather, a place where to live and laugh. Somewhere you can feel safe and loved. A vein of happiness flowing through the walls as you walk around the halls. My bedroom is a safe place, where I can relax and unwind, somewhere to fall into deep sleep when I need a break. The living room is a wonderful palace where I can sit, curled up with a cup of tea. The scent of meals fills the air as you travel to the kitchen. Downstairs with my family, love fills the air. With my pets, family and friends who I would stand by till the very end. I know not everyone has a home so having one makes me feel so grateful as I get off the bus walking back to my sanctuary of a home. That is what home means to me. I think everyone deserves to have a home.
