Homes and Houses Newspaper Volume I
ARTICLE 1:HOME IS NOT LIKE A HOUSE
Home is not like a house and I can tell you why.
Let’s start with houses. Houses are shelters that protect you from rain, snow, and hail. Houses are where you sleep, play, and relax. A house is an object, like something you can touch. Houses are actual solids.
Homes, on the other hand, are more like a feeling than a building. Home is where you want to be and homes also can be anywhere. Home is a place you know, filled full of family love. It is also where you feel comfort. It's a place you know that you feel relaxed and familiar with. You can never buy a home, but you can buy a house that you will call home.
As you can see, homes are different from houses and houses are different from homes in many ways! The way they look, the way you feel, and sometimes once you live in a home or a house, you may begin to see different hidden things!

ARTICLE 2: WHY ARE THEY HOMELESS?
1 out of 8 Canadians are homeless. But don’t call them HOMELESS! Saying someone is homeless is very rude! Why do people experience homelessness?
There are a variety of reasons people experience homelessness and not all of them are the same. Most homelessness comes from a loss of money: some by gambling, some buying “wants”, and other hard working people just don't get paid not that much, etc. Others come from disasters like the flood in Calgary. Be sure to listen to people's story before calling them homeless.
