Home, More than a Place

Home isn’t just a building or a place. Home is a dwelling and a feeling, too. Home can be the warmth and comfort that makes you feel safe. It can be a place full of happiness and fun. Home means different things to different people and what one person may feel at home may not be the same for someone else. Sometimes home can even be a person or family member that makes you feel loved and cared for. A home isn’t something that can be bought. Home is something that is created and formed by a person's feeling of love, belonging and warmth. Even a homeless person can have a home. Although a homeless person may not own a home they can still have people and places that may feel like home to them. A home can sometimes change and people may even discover new things that might make them feel like they are home. A home may be an area that reminds someone of a place they have lived in the past or a person that makes them feel happy. People’s homes can change. Anyone can have a home. Whether it's a newborn baby or a person who's lived a full life, anyone can have a home. No matter what a person has done, they can still have a home. This home can make them feel happy and like they are cared for and loved just like a mother loves her child. A home is the love that's nice and warm and soft like a fuzzy blanket, and the type of love that never ends.
