The Five Senses of Home +1
A house to me is a structure that keeps you and your family safe, warm, and cozy.
A home is what you make inside of a house, and it gives you all these feelings such as love, encouragement, support, and kindness.
Within the walls of home there are memories, hopes and dreams, milestones, love, and traditions that you and your family share together.
Home sounds like my family’s laughter when we're spending quality time together and me and my sisters playing as a group of loved ones.
Home smells like the freshly baked cookies that my mom bakes or the delicious dinners that bring us together.
Home tastes like all the delicious dinners that we have in our comforting and cozy dining room. Also, the desserts that we have for birthdays that we share together.
Home looks like all the places my family and I make memories or the welcoming smiles on my family’s faces.
As soon as I walk through the door I feel all these memories come back and I feel ready to make new memories in my home. I also feel so loved and cared about.
Home to me physically feels like the fluffy fur on my pets when I come home and hug them. Also, my parent’s soft skin when I come home from school and jump into their arms.
Everyone in my family is a plus one and that is what makes us all so unique.
I feel that everyone deserves a safe, peaceful, pleasant, delightful, calming and charming to you, place to call home.
