Home
Some people think that a home is just where you live, but I think it’s much more. Home is a safe place where I can express my feelings. Home is being with my family. Everywhere in my home there is unconditional love. If I mess up or make a mistake, my family still loves me and helps me learn from my mistakes. In my home my family helps me work through big feelings. In my home everyone is loved. My family shows up to things that are important to me, like going to my basketball practices and games. Home is where you feel comfort and warmth all the time.
Home is where my family provides food, shelter, clothes and things I need to grow up with. Home is a place for my dad's eggplant parmesan which makes my stomach delighted. It’s where me and my dad watch sports on the couch together and yell at the television. Home is where me and my mom make memories reading books and watching movies together. At my home I swim and play games in the pool with my sister. I have responsibilities like taking my dog for a walk and feeding him. At my home my family and my pets comfort me and each other on our best and worst days. That is what a home means to me.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving this opportunity to children across
