Not Just Walls And A Roof
My home is a place where I can be free
Even if my siblings are watching me,
Home is where I sleep and eat
A place to watch TV and rest my feet,
It can smell like used hockey gear
But screaming and yelling is all you hear,
A home is a place where friends are made
Love is cherished and games are played,
Even outside in the sun or rain
Animals are nearby, and kids go insane,
Although four kids may seem like a lot
Just wait for my cousins, they’re planning a plot,
Sometimes a pig can be here, and dogs there
But there are chickens and goats everywhere,
Home is a place to relax and be chill
The fire is roaring and steaks on the grill,
Living in the country is always the best
Even if siblings are making you stressed,
Home is a place to get hugs here and there
It’s always about people who are willing to share,
Home isn’t just some walls and a roof
It’s about who is with you, and there is your proof.
