What Home Means to me

Home is my favourite place to be, a place where I can go, and make memories whether it's to see my loving family, sit down, and have a meal together. Talk about the good things and the bad things, to cheer me up, or to calm me down. I see my family singing and dancing to karaoke, hearing laughter and making memories. Home is the smell of holiday cookies me and my family make, while they are baking in the oven. Home tastes like enjoying smoothie bowls on a hot summer day, and sizzling chicken noodle soup in the frigid winter. When I'm at home I feel the safest, because I can be myself around my family, not get judged and I can be anything I want. I don’t feel like I will get harmed and I'm comforted by the people in my home. Home is getting along with your siblings. Home feels welcoming and joyful. At home I feel cozy while watching the hunger games with my family and cuddling with my furry dog, while I taste the warm buttery popcorn I share with them. This is what my home feels like. It's the most loving, welcoming and joyful place I could ever be. My home is very special to me and it will always have a special place in my heart. I love home.
