The difference between a house and a home
The difference between a house and a home By Averie Hambly. Have you ever wondered why we need two words that mean the exact same thing? I'll tell you why because the words home and house may sound like they have the exact same meaning, but in reality those words mean two very different things and they don't have the same meaning and I will tell you why. A Home is a shelter and somewhere to keep you safe and with a roof over your head. Some people call their homes, homes because of their family members and their loved ones. Other people call their homes, homes because of certain types of furniture or the things that they recognize about it. Home is safety, shelter and love. A house is furniture, toys and everything in between. Just like how a home is a safe place, with security. A house is the stuff that makes a home feel safe and secure. A house is made with bricks and is filled with love. A house is a structure that covers your head. So now we've realized how a house and a home are different, but we don't know how they are equal. This will explain exactly what makes these two words equal. A house as we know is a building that is filled with loved ones, and home is also a secure structure with loved ones on the inside. Home is made up with meals, shelter, family and fun. A house is also made up of meals, shelter, family and fun! So now we know a home and a house have some equalities and in some ways those words are different. We learned that a house is a comfy bed with a comfy blanket and the soft squishy pillow and we also learned that a home is how warm and comfortable you feel inside that bed. So I think everyone deserves a home and no it doesn't have to be a giant fancy mansion. A Home is a meal, shelter, family, friends and fun!!!
