My Unique Home

Home to me is the sound of a guitar being played lightly Home is kids playing outside yelling “I promise it was in!” A cat purring gently like a car engine Home to me is the cold sting of the winter wind The warm summer air at the beach The gentle spring breeze while riding our bikes after winter Home to me is walks in the woods with water flowing down a stream Home is bike rides with my friend on boiling hot days Making forts out of sticky snow in the winter Home to me is wanting to peek inside the boxes under the tree Home is the roast turkey as big as a dragon Trying to fall asleep on Christmas Eve
