The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is a place that you can feel safe, a place where all your worries can just fly away. I sometimes can feel like I am all alone when it comes to doing something hard but when I get home to my dogs welcoming me and my parents having my back, I feel like I am home, and I belong. When I am at home, I feel like I don’t have to worry about anything else but myself and focusing on the here and the now, and not being worried about what might happen later. I always believe that you can never do anything hard on your own. That is why you have family. They will always be there for you and support you no matter what you do. I can’t imagine not having a family to be there for you and to help with the hard times. My family plays the most important role in my life because I know that they will always have my back and will always love me for whoever I am and that means the world to me. I can always tell when I am home, when I can hear my dogs barking to welcome me home and the smell of my mom’s candles scenting the air. I can feel the comfort in my home and feel safe within it. That is how I can always tell that I am home. This is the meaning of home for me and the reasons I feel safe and happy inside it.
