Home

Home is a place where I can feel loved when my parents hug me goodnight and I feel a tight squeeze. Home is a place where I can have a campfire with my family on a cold chilly winter evening. Home is a place where I can relax on the couch watching funny movies. Home is a place where I can feel loved when me and my Oma are baking brownies. I mix the gooey delicious batter while my Oma is getting the hot oven ready. My grandmother pours the brownie mix into the black round tray. I watch the brownies rising in the oven and I smell the gooey chocolate batter in the oven. “Ding!” My Oma takes the hot brownies out of the oven and sticks a sharp toothpick into the brownies to see if they are ready. My Oma said “They need to cool down before we taste test them!”We played a board game called Snakes and Ladders while the brownies were cooling off. I felt the brownies and they were done! I got a butter knife and cut the brownies. I picked one up and took a bite of them and they were the most delicious thing I had ever tasted! Home is a place where I can have a fire with my family on a cold chilly winter evening. I taste yellow buttery popcorn in my mouth with a hint of salt. I see the orange and red fire burning with warmth inside. I feel my tablet while watching a funny movie. I smell the buttery popcorn steaming from the popcorn bag. Home is a place where I can relax on an early Sunday morning snuggled on the gray couch with a brown cozy blanket over me. I see a movie playing on the tv at low volume.I hear the actors talking in the movie. I feel the rough tv remote in my hands with bumpy buttons. I taste cold water in my mouth with lemon flavoring. Home is a special place where you can make lots of memories.
