House and Homes

The meaning between a house and a home is so different… one can just mean a word. The other can mean everything. Like one of my favorite songs says, “the house that you live in doesn't make it a home” and I totally agree with that song. A house can just mean where you live temporally, a place where you will not stay, a place where you don’t feel at home. I think a house is a place that you rent, a place that shelters you, but not the same as a home. A home to me is like a place that you can roam free in. A place that you can be yourself and be comfortable in. A place where you can forget about what happened outside of your home. It's a place that you grow up in. It's YOUR home. In my opinion everyone should have a home, and place that you be you. A place where you can hang out with your own family and friends. A home is a place that shelters you and protects you. A home to me is where you can be a kid again, a place where you can relieve your past memories of happiness. I know that I have said this a lot but, a home is where you can make memories. So what I still think is that a house is just a word. A home means everything.
