The meaning of home

The meaning of home can mean next to anything. It could be a happy place where all of your worries go away, or it could be a terrifying place where you feel scared and worried. For me home is a safe and welcoming place full of people that are kind and understanding and where traditions happen. Home is a welcoming place for me. It is a place where I feel safe and comfortable. I do not need to be a certain way or act a certain way, I can just be myself. To me it is not just a place it can be a feeling too. Before covid my family and I would go to a hotel for easter and I thought of home. It is always warm and welcoming. It accepts me for who I am. It is a unique place. Unique to me. My home is full of people who are kind and supportive. They care about me and I care about them. My family has been there since I was born and are still here for me. They are supportive and caring. I love them and they love me. One of my first and best friends is one of my neighbors. We do not talk much anymore with school and everything but when we do see each other it brings back memories. I was kind of like that for my other neighbors except I was the older kid. They sadly had to move but it was fun while it lasted. I have made many friends in my life and I have found who are really my friends and who are not. I have fundraised a lot of money for an organization called Ronald Mcdonald house. The people who are volunteers are community figures for me. I am friends with a decent amount of them and those people are my home. Also my dog is not a person but to me he is. He is a goofy family dog that loves people and his family. Whenever I think of home I think of the many traditions that we have. Such as having sweet and sour meatballs on my birthday or pre covid having a picnic at Peggys Cove on Canada day. These things are something special to me and will always be special to me. Kind of close to traditions is holidays. My family celebrates many holidays such as Christmas, Easter and more. We also have traditions for holidays like during Easter we always go to a hotel. Or during christmas we always make cookies. We make different food for different occasions and that to me is home. Hopefully you enjoyed reading this and there are just a couple things I want to say. Home is a welcoming place full of people I love with traditions special to us. That is my meaning of home.
