The Special Meaning of Home

Home has a special meaning for everyone. What does home mean to you? In this essay, I will share what home means to me. Home doesn’t necessarily mean a structure made of wood, brick, steel and glass. To me, home is a place where you grow up. A place where you go to at the end of the day. Where you laugh, play and rest. Home can be anywhere, as long as you love and are comfortable living there. Home is where you're loved and are taken care of. A place where you make memories and share good and bad times with your loved ones. It is where you are enveloped with unlimited hugs. This special place is where you can smell the warmth of your mom’s fresh oven-baked cookies. Home is where you can cook your favourite meals and drink hot cocoa with fluffy marshmallows near the fireplace This is a place where I can leave my room messy, spill milk on my mom’s favourite rug or break my dad’s favourite cup, accidentaly of course without worrying about anything. Lastly, home is a place where I feel protected from all kind of dangers. Only those who have honorable and congenial intentions come to your home. I feel safe in my home when there is dark, angry, and unforgiving storm brewing ouside. I wonder, what is home to the homeless people? What would it be like to call your street home. They are exposed to elements and dangers. They also don’t have any simple comforts like microwaves to warm up food or even a warm and comfy bed. In conclusion, home can be whatever you want it to be. Home can a place, a feeling or even a roadtrip with your friends and family
