Home is where I have family.

Home is my safe spot. I will be protected from anything trying to hurt me. My home is like my shield. It fights anything that hurts me. My mom is at home and she gives me a hug when I get home. I get fed at home. At home I never starve. At breakfast there is food on the table when I wake up. There is lunch on the table no later than 12. Dinner is waiting for me when I sit down. My dogs wait for me to get home from school. They wait for me to wake up and stay with me until bed. Home is where my clothes are. My clothes are always clean. They are comfortable and keep me warm. Home is where my bed is. My bed helps me sleep at night. My family is what makes my house a home. They make me laugh when I am sad. They wipe my tears away. They hug me and tell me that it is going to be okay. They always listen to me when I need someone to listen. They make sure I have everything that a home requires. Home is the most important thing to me. Especially my parents. My parents brought me into this world. And not once have they ever made me feel like I don’t belong. I do belong and so does everyone else in this world. Home is where you can be yourself. Home is where you learned to talk! You may be shy out in the world but at home you have a light inside of you that washes that away and makes you shine brighter than ever. At home you are you and only you.
