Meaning of Home to Me

Home to me is not just a house, it's where I live. It's where I feel safe, loved and where my family is. Home to me means coming home and playing with my fluffy dog. Just watching her tail wag makes me feel loved and happy. I love my animals, even when they get angry at me. I love hanging out with them. She is my best friend and is always sad when I have to leave for Soccer or Music. I love my cat just as much as my dog. He is a grumpy pants and just lazes around, but I still try to give him as much love as possible. Home to me is snuggling with my Mom and Dad or when we play Nintendo at noon. When I come home and see my family, it makes me feel joyful to see them again. Sometimes, I take a snack and sit down and watch my dad’s old golf movies. Sometimes, me and my Mom go to the mall or we pick my friend up or go get fast food at McDonalds or Dairy Queen. I feel at home when my friends come over because it really makes me happy to hang out at home. When I'm at home, I feel free and not pressured by my friends to do anything. My friends love my sweet puppy when they come over, so I invite them to come over. I feel at home when I go visit my Grandma because she lives right next to me and when I go down she makes me shepherd's pie. We play card games and board games while I'm down at her house. Sometimes I trim her hair and she always loves it. She says it saves her 40 dollars and I love doing her hair. We have sleepovers too and I get wrapped up like a burrito in my fluffy teal bed. And that is why my home is so very special to me and it should be very special to you too! Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping the people who need a home.
