The Heart in my Home

Home is very important, it gives me love and happiness, but every home has a smell like mom's cooking, a sound like my sister listening to music, a touch like a soft, warm blanket, a taste like hot chocolate on a snow day, and the sight like my friends and family having a great birthday dinner. Home is everything. Home is the smell of my mom's cooking and the smell from my dad when he had just come home from putting in lights at someone's house. Home is the sound of my dad playing the drums in my garage and my mom working and talking to people on the phone, my brother playing PS5 and my sister listening to music while she builds her legos. Home is the feeling of when it's christmas eve and me and my family are cuddled up on the couch and we are all under the soft blankets and our new soft christmas pyjamas. Home is when me and my family are all at the dinner table with my mom's stir-fry, and with my hot chocolate when my and my siblings come inside from when we have been outside all day in our snow gear when we have snow days. Home is the sight of my friends and family at Jungle Jim's restaurant for my birthday dinner. The sight of my home is also when me and my cousin have a sleepover and we stay up super late laughing and talking all night long. That's why I’m thankful for Habitat for Humanity helping the people in need. I hope that more people get to have a home like mine.
