What Home Means to Me

A house is made of walls and beams and a home is made of love and dreams. There is no place more delightful to me than my home. When I think of the word home my mind goes straight to my family. Home means a lot to me because when I am at my home it feels like I am in heaven. I like my home because I have a lovely family, we have movie nights almost every weekend and my mom cooks a lot of good food like Pizza, Biryani, Chicken Buns, Butter chicken. During weekends, our day typically starts with my Mom and Dad sipping tea while the Sun’s rays peep through the windows. When I need any help in anything my family always helps me out, like whenever I don't understand a word when I am reading my sister or my mom helps me out or when I need help with my homework they always help me understand it better. I feel like I am the happiest when I am at home compared to other places. At home, my family and I spend quality time together playing board games like sorry, twister, snakes and ladders and ludo and other activities like playing Roblox with my Sister and dad and adding and fixing things, playing Fortnite with my Sister, and my sister always teases me in all ways. When I am at home I feel that I can express myself and my feelings better and more freely, like I belong there and don’t feel the need to fit in. My family are the people I feel comfortable around the most, when I am around them I feel a sense of safety and belonging. My home is a place where I feel relaxed and recharged, it is where my soul finds love and peace as I am around the people I love the most. I feel that my family is the best in the world. At home, we celebrate every small and big wins of our family. We often go for family dinners to places like Mandi Afandi, Wow Kababish and Monasaba. At home memories are created and laughter never ends. My family always cheers me up when I am not doing well at the game or when I think I am bad at the game, but my family always encourages me by saying you are not bad at the game you are the best player in the team. A home is a place where we grow, learn and develop ourselves. We also learn and practice our culture. I am happy and glad and also thankful to God that I have a home with my family to be together, to be warm in winters and have a wonderful life. I am grateful for my home and family and I really care for them. Loves around my family and my home. Being at home is my favorite part of the day. I am grateful for what I have.
