Home is Like Another World

Home is like a warm hug that wraps around you on a bad day. When I have a bad day in school I can let my hair down and be myself! Home got your back. Those pictures on the wall, it's like a flip book of memories, vacations and birthdays. Like going on a trip with your family. There is a special smell in my Mom's Kitchen that is cooked dinner by my mom and nan. Our kitchen is full of laughter. In our living room it's like a secret spot with games and laughter. We go there when one of us is feeling down. Home is like another world. When I have a bad day at school or work it's my safe place and happy place. Think of home as a time capsule like you don't know what's going on in the real world. When rain or snow is falling on the windows, me and my family play games. When the power goes out we have a big slumber party and don't even know it's gone out because we have flashlights and each other. Your home is a protected space when you feel like you are cornered by someone or something. Every day is a new page for our family flip book! So your home isn't just a building.
