Home Means Family

Have you ever wondered what home really means?Well it means different things for different people but for me it means making home cooked perogies fresh from the oven with your family, and sitting by the fire and watching movies. As my family listens to my dad tell dad jokes,we all chuckle together. In your home sometimes there are times when you feel down, but the people in your house make you feel better. At home I feel safe and loved.I feel understood when I am in my home. When I feel loved and safe, that is important to me because it helps me get back up and it gives me a safe place to go when I am lost.In the background of our bored games,we hear our birds singing in the sunlight and that makes me feel comfortable. As time passed,I realized that home isn't just about the house that you live in,or the place that you take shelter in.It's about the memories and the people that are in that house. As I walk by each room,I see different memories so clear that it's like looking through a window. On the ground in my brothers room I see blayblades that he used to play with just tucked under his bed.In my sisters room,I see beads on her shelf and that reminds me of when she used to make bracelets all day long. All I smell in my sisters room is her favorite perfume that smells like the ocean. My home is really special to me because my family means more than anything to me.I never care where we go on holidays because it just matters if we are all together. My favourite stuffed animal is a small dalmatian and I named him Spot.Spot makes me feel comfortable. When I feel misplaced,Spot makes me feel better. My family always goes on nature walks and I feel more happy when I am around them.I love my whole family and I know that family is forever. So that is what home means to me,family and memories.
