My Home

For many people a home is a structure where you live, “Just a place with four walls and a roof” but, to me a home is a location where you spend time with family, make memories, feel safe, and feel loved. You want to know why I feel this way, well let me explain. Spending time with family is cooking, watching movies, and playing board games! When I cook with my mom, I hear many dishes clinking and banging all together. The food we cook always smells delicious and tastes even better. One dish we make together is Pani Puri, an indian dish that is a hard shell which you fill with minty flavorful water filled with a spicy mix. After dinner we occasionally watch movies together. Some movies we have watched are Zootopia 2, FNAF, and Sing. We also play board games together! Especially UNO, my dad he always cheats which makes it even more fun! A couple of months ago it was my birthday! My parents got me some new jeans from my favourite store, Garage! I loved them. Another memory I remember is going to a waterpark all together! We rode many rides, my mom not so much because she was scared. We had a blast! Feeling safe at home is also important to me. I know my parents are always here to protect me, and make sure everything is safe at night, like before they sleep, they lock the doors. When they do that I feel more relaxed and comfortable. My parents are also people I can talk to if I'm feeling down. Knowing I have a caring family protecting me makes me feel peaceful and safe. Home is where love circles me, safety surrounds me, and family cares for me always, no matter what.
