The moment I walk in my house.

The moment I walk in my house. The moment I walk into my house, I feel loved not just the “they have to love you because they’re related” but the real love. I know it's not forced because I feel safe with it too. I don't have to fake who I am, I can be me. I don't have to spend time getting ready because I know they won't care if the weight is off my shoulders with school work and friendship issues, I can just relax. I feel loved and I know it's not forced because I feel welcomed. I wake up to people smiling and laughing. I feel loved everyday. It makes me feel good inside knowing I have people who care. I feel loved without knowing how or when it's like a natural thing when you are home. I feel safe in my home. It's almost like arms hugging around me 24/7. I know I am safe in my house. I never have to second guess if I'm safe in my house. I already know I am. The moment i walk into my house i feeI I am loved and safe and I know they will always have my back. Having a house is not just a right, it is important to grow and feel loved and safe. If people didn't have a house I don't think you would feel that way. It helps us prepare to face the real world. A good home helps good mental and physical health. -Gemma budden carew Twillingate island elementary Grade 6
