My Favorite Place

Hello, my name is Avery. My home is one of my favorite places to be. Home means to me a place that protects you, not only from the weather but the bad feelings. If you have a fight with a friend and you are sad at the end of the day you can come home and keep the bad feelings out and feel loved, understood & safe. A house is the structure, walls and roof that you live under. Home is the place where you create the most memories with different people. A house might have walls that are clean and a kitchen that's pristine white. A home might have drawings on the walls from when you were younger & stains on the carpet. A home is where you can argue with your siblings, but minutes later you are back to playing together. A home is where you can have fun and where you can be yourself. A home is a place where you can trust the people inside to love you, to care for you, to be there for you when you need them to be and to have your back. A home is where you can laugh with your family and friends.
