I Found My Home
Ever since I was 2, I had a house that had lots of memories and nice neighbours. I remember my backyard neighbours with a gate between our fences, where we would play all the time. I remember having a pool, playhouse, swingset, and trampoline. My home was so warm and cozy playing with my little brother, my mom, stepdad and my pets. My home was full of kindness and care.
Then, I moved. It was very different. I had only one dog, and they went to my dad’s house. My mom and my stepdad broke up. I had a new house, a new room, and new things. It was still a nice house, but not my home that I had been in for a long time. I never moved a lot at all, so it was weird, but nice. I still miss my home, but I like this one. Of course, I still feel cared for and loved, though it's different.
At my dad's house, I moved two times, so I stayed in my home for a long time, and I still live there. It's nice, but at my mom's, I still moved, and I live there right now. My home to me is warmth, love, care, good food, and lots of other things. The difference is that a house is just a place people live in. Many different people can live in the house, and then they move and move again, so houses have been through a lot of people. Though homes are places where you have live through childhood and are loved.
That's what home means to me. There are lots of different ways a home can mean to someone, but this is what home means to me. I love my home and all the things in it. I hope my new house turns into a nice home where I can have lots of memories like my old one.
I would like to thank Habitat for Humanity for all the help they give to people. They give safe homes for people in need, they help a lot of people, and they have many stories to share. I have heard a story before with sick people and Habitat for Humanity helped them get a safe home for them to live in so they are very kind to do so.
