A place to call home

A place to call home
A place to roam
A place to stay
With your family and play

A home is a place to be filled with glee
A place to be full of joy you see!
A home is a place to have your fun
Sit outside with your family in that bright yellow sun

The home that you live in teaches you what is false
And what is true
It teaches you basic lessons like quack and moo
But there is something that I don’t like to say
There are some people who have no place to stay

No place to sleep or rest
No place to say what is best
They have no roof over their heads
They might use a coat or sweater instead

A home is a place to keep you safe from the day
You were born
To keep you safe from a cold winter storm
It also makes you feel free
A place to just be

A place to call home
A place to roam
One simple thing called a house
Can be grateful even for the smallest mouse
