WHAT HOME MEANS TO ME
Home is a place where we are born and live. It is the sweetest place in the world. When we sense danger elsewhere, we find safety in our home. When there is joy, we share it with other members of our family. Everybody loves home because that is where we feel safe, secure, warm, cozy and included. What is home? According to the dictionary a house is a building built for habitation where as a home is an abode built for one’s family. The difference is that a home is a place that you love to live in. A home is something more special than a house. A home is a place where you feel comfortable. A home is built with a family. A home provides a community of people that will always be there for you. Home is not just a house that you live in or a shelter, it’s where you love to live because you have everything you care about under one roof. We can share our happiness with others, love each other, speak our minds, and have our own space. We can celebrate and be proud of our culture, have fun, help others, laugh, cry, believe in whatever we want, have privacy and be ourselves. I have moved several times, but I don’t miss the houses, I miss the memories we made there. Because, in the end, all you have is memories.
