What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me

A home is a place where you feel loved, cared for, happy, confident, and understood. Maybe it’s got broken windows, but you can fix it with a little laughter. Or maybe it’s got shattered pieces on the floor, but you can fix that by picking yourself up one by one. With food on the table every morning, afternoon, and night. Clothes neatly washed, ironed, and folded in your closet. A book to entertain you with. Loved by your parent, cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives, grandparents, friends, and teachers there to guide you through your life. As you sleep, ending your day, ready to start a new one in the morning. You going to your room, into your bed, as you have slept ending your day and ready to start a new one in the morning.

So please don’t look at a mansion or a six million dollar house with jealousy in your eyes. There is more to a home than its appearance, it’s the love in it that matters. Be grateful that you get loved by amazing people. Some people don’t even feel loved because there is so much hate going on in our world. People who are alone and unfortunate suffer as the seasons go by, with no love what so ever.

Every time I get to my home I feel nothing, but pure euphoria! A home is where you’ve created your best memories in life. Memories such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, weird, awkward, and funny moments. My home is very special to my family and I, and that’s what it all means to me. So, I feel that each and everyone of us should have a wonderful home!
