What Home Means to Me

My home is important to me for many reasons, making me feel appreciated and being secure are a couple of those reasons.

Through the good times and the bad ones, we are still a loving family. Home is a more than just a roof over your head; it’s love, connection, it is security. I can connect and reach out to the people who matter most. When we all come together and spend those precious times to create memories. Memories that will forever remain with us. Where friends can come and go. Someplace to laugh or to cry. We support each other through powerful words, or through a warm, tight hug. I know that whatever mood I’m in, I’ll feel as though I’m accepted. I am myself at home, because I feel loved, accepted, appreciated, and safe in my home.

Most people can feel what I feel, or at least relate to it. However, some people don’t, so I want to give back and donate to those in my community. As sad as the truth is, all we can do is help and support whatever the situation is. I do believe that habitat for humanity is a great cause, and I want to contribute in any way that I can. Even if that only means writing story and donating $10 in the process. If everybody participates, more things get done, which means more and more people have the feeling of home. I feel the best me I can be at my home and proud to be part of this. One of the strongest and best feelings for me; is home.
