What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me

One day I was driving through Toronto and I saw so many people who were homeless, and I thought I’m so lucky that I have a home. Then I asked my mom “what does home mean to you”? She said “it’s not what home means to me that counts, it’s what home means to you that’s important”. So I began to think, what does home mean to me? I’ve never really thought about that before.

To me, home means family, and is where you are loved and cared for. No one judges you and you feel safe. At your home you don’t get bullied and you are treated with respect. Home means you’re free to be yourself and do things without worrying about what other people think. You have everything you NEED. (food/water, shelter, clothing and love)

H is for Happy, it makes me want to bounce
O is for Opinion, mine always counts
M is for Me, the one speaking my mind
E is for Everyone, being so kind
