What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me

Home is where the heart is. If you have a house it doesn’t mean you have a home. Having a home to live in brings me a great joy. A home has to have love, a kitchen table and a comforting vibe.

Comfort is something needed in a home. A bed with the smell of fresh linen and relaxation is what I call comforting. The warmth that you feel when you walk in the door after a long day. Comfort is felt when memories are made and remembered the next day. The warm fuzzy feeling I get from remembering the fun we had.

Love is what makes a home a home. Love is having someone to talk to when you’re feeling down. A home has enough love to go around. The love is created by you and the people around you. What I love most about my home is the people I share it with. By loving others in your house, it becomes a home.

In my opinion, it is mandatory, to have a kitchen table in a home. It is a place to talk. It is a place to share communion with your loved ones. It’s somewhere to share a meal with family and friends. It’s also a place to share your feelings with the people close to you.

Home is a very special place to me. It is a place with comfort, love and a kitchen table. Everyone deserves and needs a home to live in. It is not just the place you live, it is forever a home. Home is a place your feet may leave, but your heart will always be.
