The Meaning of Home

Your home is where you go to play with your sisters, brothers, friends and family. Home is where you eat, sleep, grow, and make memories. Home is where you go to every night, wake up in every morning. Home is where you feel love, experience heartbreak, or feel excitement.

Home is where you laughed, cried, sighed, talked, whispered, and shouted. Home is where you turned 1,2,3, and 4.

Home is where you spent your first Christmas, Thanksgiving, Hannukah, or Diwali. Home is where you go after school, when you are feeling down. Home is where you spend the weekend.

You may go on a trip to Paris, London, Greece, or China. But every time you go away, you always come back home. You may go to your grandparents house and think this is where you feel most at home, but you are incorrect. Your home is where you feel most at home.

But some people don’t have all of these things. Some people can’t afford good house’s to live in. This is called poverty. It means that you have to live in too small houses that rent for to much. It means that most people have to live on the street’s to by able to afford food. Some people live in a 2-bedroom house, but the family that lives in it has 8 people. Image that family got a new house that all 8 people have space to call there own, for an affordable price. Wouldn’t that be nice?

I know we can help people living in poverty. We just have to try.
