The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home

“Home is a shelter from storms of all sorts” I agree with this quote because when I’m sad at school or somewhere else I don’t feel comfortable to cry. But when I get home I can cry all I want without fear or worry.
Home for me is happiness dents and marks. When my brother and I play hockey together we crash are sticks into the walls and we make marks or dents. I see that I feel warm and happy because each mark is reliving a memory. That’s what makes a house a home. What’s the difference between a house and a home I ask myself? A house has walls, floors, and other things that every house has. Home is memories, marks and, objects that other people don’t have.
“Home is a shelter from storms of all sorts” There are bad times there are happy times there are sad times in my home but my family is what makes my house a home. I love my family and they love me that also makes my house a home.
One day I had Dance competitions and I was super nervous that I wanted to stay home. When I’m nervous I just want to stay home because it is safe and happy there. But then I had to leave and I was even more nervous than before. My Mom and I got there and I got dressed. after My dance team did our dance and the judges gave us gold. That day I was so proud of myself and I think I understood the word home was bigger than just my house. Home was family and the support and love they give me
