The meaning of home
What home means to me?
“A house is made of walls and beams, a home is made of love and dreams.” A home is where you feel safe to say and do what you want without people judging you. There is an estimated 1.3 million Canadian families in need of a safe, decent and affordable home right now. In a home you should have things to look forward to. For example, movie night, game night, parties, celebrations and holidays. It’s so much fun when you and your family are laughing and you get to spend time with people you care about. You get to make memories and enjoy every moment you spend with your family. There may also be times you have to deal with problems or a fight with your siblings but you know you when you are trying to solve the problem you can say what you want to say without feeling uncomfortable. You know that after you can look forward to having fun and making new memories with your family. You should be thankful for what you have because not everybody has a place to call home and doesn’t have the loved and special feeling you should get at home. I could not imagine what it would be like without having a place to call home and be able to be with me family every day. You should give “ A hand up, not a hand out.” So everyone in the world can have a place to call home.
