My Journey To Each Room

My home is filled with rooms. When I step into my inviting kitchen I smell so many things like lemon pie in the oven or cheesy pasta on the blazing hot element. There’s roast beef in the crock pot and maybe even popcorn in the microwave.

When I glance into my comforting living room the brown chair in the corner invites you to sit and stay awhile. Then there’s the glowing fire place a few feet from the chair, it does its best to keep you toasty warm.

When I tiptoe down the stairs there’s such a world to see from baby toys to binders full of hockey cards my parents collected when they were young. Then there’s the ping pong table where’s there’s always some defeat. Finally the electrical room “no kids aloud” my parents always say.

When it’s time to eat lunch I exit the basement and go to the dining room where there is a lot of stuff like my labradoodle under the 100 year old table with friends and family waiting for me and once I get there it’s time to eat the food from the kitchen.

When I enter my bedroom there is a lot of stuff like soccer medals hanging on the wall or thick stacks of hockey cards on the window sill. And of course my bed with a pile of books beside it.

When I’m in the hallway on my way to the mudroom there is pictures on the wall from picture of me when I was a baby to pictures of me yesterday. Now were in the mudroom where there’s shoes and keys for the day ahead.
